Description
The Body Repair Technician I is responsible for performing the advanced-level body repairs on motorcoaches, ensuring safety standards are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (list in order of importance)
Removal, repair, and replacement of:
- All body and frame components (including all riveted, spot-welded and Perimeter-welded parts, panels, frame members and bulkheads)
- Lights
- Doors (entry, luggage and compartment
- Windows and window glass
- Moldings
- Upholstery
- Body accessories
2.Proficient in the use of:
- Pneumatic riveter
- Sanders
- Grinders
- Hydraulic pullers
- Pressure painting equipment
- Standard tools
- Oxygen/acetylene welding with certification
- ARC, MIG, and T.G. welding equipment with certification
- Body filler material and fiberglass
- Electrical prints and schematics
3. The employee must be capable of:
- Preparing accurate parts and components listings for body damage repairs
- Assisting shop management in preparing accurate repair time estimates

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience/Knowledge: Must be proficient in the use of pneumatic riveter, sanders, grinders, hydraulic pullers; pressure painting equipment, standard fastener equipment, standard tools, oxygen/acetylene welding, ARC,MIG and T.G. welding equipment, and body filler material and fiberglass
Equipment / Machines Used
Furnish all small hand tools and body repair tools required to perform the functions specified above.
Specific Job Skills (e.g. computer skills, communication, motivation, organizational skills)
- Knowledge in Oracle a plus
- Ability to multitask and work in a high paced environment.
