ABOUT THE ROLE
The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function for our operations in Mexico. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with Mexican statutory and tax requirements, and effective accounting processes that support advanced manufacturing and rapid business growth. The Accounting Manager will work closely with operations, engineering, and global finance teams to support scalable and compliant financial operations.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, and payroll accounting
Ensure compliance with Mexican accounting standards (NIF) and local tax regulations (SAT), including ISR, IVA, and CFDI requirements
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Prepare and review statutory financial statements, management reports and flux and variance analysis
Manage and prepare tax filings and support audits and reviews with external auditors, tax advisors, and authorities
Establish, document and maintain internal controls and accounting policies suitable for a high-tech manufacturing environment
Partner with operations and supply chain teams on inventory controls, BOM accuracy, production costing, and margin analysis
Manage intercompany transactions, transfer pricing support, and reporting for global operations
Lead, mentor and develop the local accounting team
Support ERP implementations, system upgrades, and process automation initiatives
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis in collaboration with FP&A and global finance teams
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA (Certified public accountant) or equivalent professional certification preferred
5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing accounting
Strong knowledge of Mexican accounting standards (NIF) and tax compliance
Hands-on experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing close processes
Experience with SAT compliance, CFDI, and statutory reporting
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment
Process improvement and automation orientation
Strong ethical standards and compliance focus
Ability to translate complex accounting topics for non-finance stakeholders
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD
Experience in AI, electronics, robotics, or advanced technology manufacturing
Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS for global reporting
English proficiency (written and verbal)
