Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, objectives, procedures, and management systems aligned with company and regulatory requirements
• Monitor HSE performance metrics, analyze trends, and provide regular reporting on HSE status to leadership
• Facilitate and oversee HSE training programs to ensure compliance with standards, procedures, and best practices
• Manage all HSE documentation, including procedures, processes, records, and reporting systems
• Utilize data-driven focus and feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement in HSE performance
• Lead incident investigations using recognized methodologies and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Provide technical guidance and subject-matter expertise on all HSE-related matters
• Expert-level experience developing, implementing, maintaining, and auditing HSE management systems such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
• Strong working knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and NEBOSH frameworks
• Proven experience conducting internal and external audits, including lead auditor responsibilities
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex HSE data and translate findings into actionable improvements
• In-depth knowledge of local, national, and international HSE regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, UK HSE Executive, and EU-OSHA
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific standards and client requirements across operations
• Strong expertise in risk assessment methodologies such as Bowtie, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, and Hazard and Operability Studies
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Safety, or a related field
• Master’s degree is preferred
• Professional certifications such as CSP, NEBOSH Diploma, CIH, or ISO/OHSAS certifications preferred or required
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HSE roles, including significant leadership and management responsibility
• Advanced incident investigation skills utilizing tools such as Fishbone, TapRoot, and 5 Whys
• Ability to design and implement effective safety management systems to reduce risk and prevent incidents
• Proficient with HSE management software, e-learning platforms, data analysis tools, and standard IT systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences
