Description
Veterans Engineering is seeking a dedicated Gastroenterology Physician to join our team, providing critical care for our nation’s veterans. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of gastrointestinal conditions, ensuring high-quality healthcare services are delivered with empathy and professionalism. You will engage closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of life for our patients.
As a Gastroenterology Physician, your expertise in performing advanced procedural techniques and interpreting diagnostic tests will be invaluable. This position calls for not just clinical knowledge but also a passion for serving veterans and commitment to their healthcare needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, including but not limited to: Upper endoscopy (EGD) Colonoscopy Biopsies and polypectomies
- Management of gastrointestinal bleeding Evaluate, diagnose, and manage gastrointestinal disorders
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Gastroenterology
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology (or Board Eligible)
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Strong clinical background with a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, focusing on gastroenterology
- Proficient in endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and EGD
- Ability to independently perform diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterology procedures, including: Upper endoscopy (EGD) Colonoscopy Biopsies and polypectomies Management of gastrointestinal bleeding
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
- Commitment to continuing education and staying updated with the latest in the field of gastroenterology
- Dedication to providing comprehensive care to a diverse population of patients
Travel Requirements
Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
