Electrode Fabrication Engineer en Electroflow Technologies
Electroflow Technologies · San Bruno, Stati Uniti d'America · On-site

Description
Electroflow is unlocking domestic production of lithium iron phosphate (LFP), the battery material that will power an energy-abundant future. Using our proprietary electrochemical process, we collapse an incumbent 10-step brine-to-LFP supply chain into just three steps, making us on track to produce the lowest-cost LFP on the planet. After raising a $10 million Seed round backed by Union Square Ventures and Voyager Ventures, and being featured in The Wall Street Journal (twice!) and TechCrunch, we’re scaling fast to build America’s largest fully domestic LFP supply chain!
As an Electrode Fabrication Engineer, you’ll play a central role in establishing Electroflow’s pilot electrode manufacturing capability. You’ll help stand up a new in-house coating line, operate and refine roll-to-roll equipment, and work closely with experienced teammates to dial in next-generation electrode architectures. This is a deeply hands-on opportunity to build a critical process from the ground up and shape how electrodes are produced for our breakthrough electrochemical systems.
What You’ll Do
- Operate roll-to-roll coating systems for electrode fabrication with a focus on consistency, safety, and process discipline.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve electrode manufacturing equipment to increase reliability and performance.
- Develop foundational documentation, including SOPs, safety protocols, equipment logs, and process checklists.
- Run coating trials and analyze outcomes, sharing observations and collaborating to refine electrochemical and mechanical properties.
- Work closely with teammates in a small, nimble group to rapidly iterate, problem-solve, and scale the electrode process.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (materials, electrochemistry, mechanical, process) to ensure electrodes integrate seamlessly into next-generation systems.
- Support the build-out of a pilot electrode fabrication area, from equipment installation to operational readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in an industrial or academic environment.
- Experience with roll-to-roll thin-film coating systems (battery electrodes, fuel cells, membranes, or similar).
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and follow safe operating practices around industrial equipment.
Bonus points if you:
- Are adaptable, curious, and excited to learn new skills in a hands-on environment.
- Are detail-oriented with strong process intuition.
- Have “magic hands” — strong practical/mechanical instinct.
- Experience contributing to next-generation energy or electrochemical manufacturing technologies.
You'll fit right in if you:
- Enjoy working closely with experienced engineers to build something new together.
- Thrive in small, fast-moving teams where everyone contributes meaningfully.
- Love operating real hardware and improving processes run by run.
- Want to help scale a next-generation electrode manufacturing capability from scratch.
