Owkin is an AI company on a mission to solve the complexity of biology. It is building the first Biology Super Intelligence (BASI) by combining powerful biological large language models, multimodal patient data, and agentic software. At the heart of this system is Owkin K, an AI copilot and its new LLM fine-tuned on biology called Owkin Zero, used by researchers, clinicians, and drug developers to better understand biology, validate scientific hypotheses, and deliver better diagnostics and therapies faster.

About the role:
As a Senior Product Designer on our K Products team, you will lead the design of natural language interfaces and AI experiences that make sophisticated machine learning models accessible to biomedical researchers, clinicians, and partners. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver thoughtful, data-informed designs that accelerate drug discovery workflows.
In particular, you will:
- Design core user experiences for AI-powered B2B products, with a focus on natural language interfaces and scientific visualization.
- Conduct, synthesize, and communicate user research to inform product direction and design strategies.
- Build wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals to explore, communicate, and validate design concepts.
- Facilitate usability testing and continuous iteration based on both qualitative and quantitative user insights.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, tech, and domain experts to deliver pragmatic solutions that meet user and business requirements.
- Contribute to and help evolve our design system to ensure consistent, inclusive, and accessible experiences across products.
- Help define and reinforce design processes that prioritize clarity, user needs, and high standards of craft.
About you
Required qualifications / experience:
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a proven track record designing B2B software products.
- Mastery of AI-powered UX, including conversational design (NLP, LLMs), advanced data visualizations, and system thinking.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your design process, problem-solving approach, and impact on user and business outcomes
- Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics and discovery to inform design decisions and measure outcomes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions to diverse stakeholders
- Experience building scalable design systems and using modern design and prototyping tools
- Fluent English communication skills
Preferred qualifications/bonus:
- Experience building products for biomedical research, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry contexts
- French language skills (bonus)
