Role Overview 

The Flight Systems Integrator (FSI) will lead XTI Aircraft’s cockpit design and flight simulator integration in order to drive the human-machine interface into a next century standard for cockpits.  The FSI will also be responsible for driving pilot input into the design during all phases of the Program.   The FSI will coordinate with senior leadership and help establish and grow the XTI government and FAA relationships before and during flight testing.    The FSI will ultimately be responsible for the aircraft POH and AFM with an emphasis on FAA Certification, Flight Test operations, and Safety. 

  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Trifan 600 AFM  
  • Break down the FAA Part 23 requirements for the AFM and generate the Trifan 600 AFM compliance matrix and preliminary outline. 
  • Trifan 600 POH 
  • Break down the FAA Part 23 requirements for the POH and generate the Trifan 600 POH outline and compliance matrix. 
  • Flight Test planning and cockpit simulation 
  • Work with XTI leadership and engineering to generate the preliminary flight test plan. 
  • Generate the Trifan 600 flight simulator requirements related to pilot interface and work with engineering/supplier to establish the Trifan 600 cockpit layout. 
  • State and Local Government Coordination  
  • Work with local and state representatives to help establish XTI grant applications and strategic planning.   
  • Work with senior leadership on similar government and grant application work with other entities (national and international) as requested.

Qualifications 

  • A minimum of 10 years of flight experience as the PIC (1200 hrs) in a dual engine turboprop or similar sized aircraft (twin engine rated) 
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in a turbine aircraft (single or dual engine) as the PIC. 
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as an aviation safety officer (commercial or military) 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.    
  • Past experience coordinating flight operations in a commercial and/or military environment 
  • Past experience as the primary focal working with the FAA and local/regional airports to maintain safety, organization, and appropriate certifications for continued operations. 
  • Flight Record must not have any negative remarks from FAA (license has never been suspended or revoked for any reason) 

 

 

Skills and Education 

  • Experienced Flight Test Pilot 
  • FAA Regulatory Knowledge for flight operations 
  • Sound judgment and good decision making. 
  • Degree from an accredited University (BA or equivalent years of experience) 
  • Instructor pilot (CFI/CFII) and MEI or military equivalent 

Immediate Objectives (Next 90 Days) 

    1. Using FAA regulatory requirements and experience to architect the final cockpit layout 
    2. Generate the simulator requirements document  
    3. Generate the POH and AFM outline based on FAA requirements 
    4. Work with local and state government as well as FAA as needed to help prepare program for experimental ticket. 

 

Salary range: $125,000- $145,000 + bonus + stock options
