💼What is the job?

Acumen Fiscal Agent is seeking an Accounts Receivable Team Lead to join our finance department. In this vital leadership position, you will oversee the accounts receivable team, ensuring efficient billing and collection processes to optimize cash flow and support the organization's financial goals. You will be responsible for mentoring team members, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing best practices. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of accounts receivable processes, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team dedicated to making a positive impact on our clients' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Receivable team to achieve operational excellence.
  • Oversee the invoicing process and ensure timely and accurate billing.
  • Monitor accounts for outstanding payments and implement collection strategies.
  • Analyze and report on accounts receivable performance metrics.
  • Resolve escalated client issues and discrepancies in billing.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and compliance.
  • Provide training and support to team members on policies, procedures, and technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
