This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Alliance Director – Microsoft in Germany.

As Alliance Director, you will lead the strategic partnership with Microsoft across EMEA, driving co-sell initiatives, joint go-to-market programs, and solution development. You will serve as the regional interface between Microsoft’s sales, partner, and technical teams and your organization’s commercial and technical resources. This role combines relationship management, pipeline development, and executive engagement to maximize mutual business impact. You will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to align strategies, enable partners, and accelerate revenue growth. Your influence will help shape the regional Microsoft ecosystem, promote innovation, and ensure the adoption of cloud-based offerings. This position is ideal for a strategic, results-driven professional with strong expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem.

Accountabilities

  • Define and execute the Microsoft partnership strategy across EMEA to drive co-sell, go-to-market alignment, and joint solution development.
  • Act as the key regional interface between Microsoft’s field sales, partner, and technical teams and internal sales, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Drive joint pipeline generation and acceleration across strategic countries, engaging distributors and top channel partners.
  • Build joint business plans and regional campaigns with Microsoft Segment and Industry teams to increase awareness, lead generation, and revenue.
  • Collaborate with the partner ecosystem to activate Microsoft offerings and encourage integration with organizational solutions.
  • Manage and expand executive-level relationships with Microsoft regional leadership, including Partner Development Managers, Azure Specialists, and Account Executives.
  • Track and report key alliance KPIs such as pipeline influence, co-sell attach rates, and strategic wins, and lead quarterly business reviews.
  • Serve as the Microsoft subject-matter expert internally, influencing product, sales, and marketing teams to align with Microsoft priorities.
  • Identify and champion innovative partnership opportunities, including AI, data services, security, and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of alliance, business development, or partner sales experience within the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-country Microsoft relationships, ideally with ISVs, system integrators, or security/data protection vendors.
  • Experience driving Azure and Microsoft 365 co-sell or marketplace-based sales.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft GTM models, IP co-sell motions, Azure consumption metrics, and partner incentive structures.
  • Strong understanding of cloud data protection, backup, or IT operations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across sales, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision and short-term execution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly at the executive level.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing regional complexity and fast-changing alliance dynamics.
