The Technology Program Lead will be based in Hammersmith, London (4 Days a week in Office). The position reports to the Senior Manager – Digital & Technology and will manage Two direct reports.

Overall Purpose of the Role

Drive the evolution of Disney Parks reservation and booking platforms by managing systems enhancements, API integrations, and technology delivery initiatives in partnership with internal teams and external technology partners.

Lead a portfolio of transformative technology projects, defining scopes of work, managing global stakeholders, and ensuring the seamless execution of system improvements aligned with business objectives and the Digital & Technology roadmap.

This role includes line management responsibility for one direct report and supports the Technical Account Manager in delivering strategic technology solutions across Disney Destinations International.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead the technology projects function, providing guidance, mentorship, and resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

  • Partner with the Technical Account Manager and key stakeholders to define technical specifications and shape system solutions from discovery through delivery.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with core technology partners to support key business initiatives and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee program requirements and create detailed project plans, ensuring clear timelines, deliverables, and alignment with budget and roadmap priorities.

  • Identify and manage project and program-level risks, working with the team to develop mitigation plans and ensure business continuity.

  • Track progress and performance across multiple projects, reporting status updates and insights to senior management.

  • Define project governance, lifecycles, and reporting frameworks to ensure structure, transparency, and accountability across all workstreams.

  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to propose effective technical solutions that meet business and operational needs.

  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager – Ecommerce and Digital to provide strategic input into the digital roadmap and support annual operating plan (AOP) objectives.

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, workflows, and project tracking materials, ensuring clarity and accuracy across all activities.

  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and innovation, leveraging technology to optimise team performance and business outcomes.

  • Support professional development within the team, promoting a culture of learning, collaboration, and performance excellence.

  • Accountable for leading and developing the technology projects team.

  • Accountable to the Technical Account Manager and Senior Manager – Ecommerce and Digital for delivery of technology projects and programs of work.

  • Responsible for identifying, communicating, and resolving risks and issues across all assigned projects.

  • Accountable for delivering projects to agreed goals, timelines, and budgets in alignment with business strategy.

  • Accountable for cultivating productive internal and external stakeholder relationships across global markets.

  • Responsible for the supervision, performance, and development of direct reports.

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required

  • Proven experience managing and delivering multiple technology projects or programs of work, ideally within the travel, ecommerce, or similar digital environment.

  • Strong background in business analysis, systems integration, and API-driven environments.

  • Experience working in large, matrixed organisations and managing global stakeholder groups.

  • Experience producing clear, comprehensive technical documentation and specifications.

  • Proficiency with issue-tracking tools such as JIRA.

  • Experience supervising or managing direct reports, with a focus on performance and development.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a solution-focused approach.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, capable of prioritising across multiple concurrent projects.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom).

  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, and adapt to new technologies and systems.

  • Understanding of travel or e-commerce technology environments beneficial.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to adapt messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Confident presenter with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.

  • Proven stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.

Additional Information

  • London-based role, with flexibility required to meet project deadlines.

  • Occasional UK, European, or international travel may be necessary.
