Functional Consultant
About Logistics Reply:
Logistics Reply is the Reply Group company that specialises in supply chain software. Its solutions are based around LEA (‘Logistics Execution Architecture’), the world's most advanced Supply Chain platform – which uniquely utilises cloud-based 'microservices' to offer a bespoke suite of software solutions that are designed to bridge the gap between real-world operations, and the need to provide real-time visibility across all stages of the supply chain: from Manufacturer to Warehouse/DC, through to Retail Store/Customer Delivery. Top brands and suppliers across Fashion, Food, General Merchandise, 3PL’s and Manufacturing choose LEA as it is specifically designed to be agile, flexible, quickly adaptable and configurable to their individual requirements – whilst complementing their existing systems frameworks. www.lea-reply.com
Role Overview:
As a Functional Consultant, you will play a key role throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring that business requirements are accurately captured, translated into system configurations, and successfully delivered. You will engage early in the design phase, conducting assessments, facilitating workshops, and supporting solution validation through proof of concept activities and training. During the build and test phases, you will guide configuration, assist with testing, and help prepare business teams for successful solution adoption. In the deploy phase, you will lead workforce preparation, support go-live and hypercare activities, and ensure a smooth transition to the new system for end-users. This role is based in either our London or Manchester office, with a hybrid working policy.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Current State Assessments and lead Future State Design Workshops to gather and analyse business requirements, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
- Translate business requirements into system configurations and validate solutions through Proof of Concept activities.
- Guide teams through Configuration Training and actively assist with Application Configuration during the build phase.
- Collaborate in the creation and execution of Test Scripts to validate key business processes and system functionality.
- Identify solution gaps, define detailed technical and functional requirements, and liaise with Technical Architecture and Software Engineering teams to address them.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, including procedures and ‘Train the Trainer’ materials, to support effective solution adoption.
- Lead Workforce Preparation activities, participate in Dry Runs and Dress Rehearsals, and prepare business teams for deployment.
- Provide ongoing support during Go Live and Hypercare, resolving issues and ensuring a smooth transition and user adoption of the new solution.
About the Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree (2.1 or higher) in a relevant field such as Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of industry experience, with proven ability to deliver work consistently and independently, managing complex tasks with minimal supervision.
- Experience in business process analysis and optimisation, mapping client requirements to system capabilities, and defining and documenting functional requirements.
- Skilled in training end-users and providing effective post-go-live support for solution adoption.
- Technical understanding of WMS, ERP, or supply chain systems, with experience in configuring SaaS platforms and integrating third-party solutions.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend process improvements that deliver measurable ROI and support change management initiatives.
- Confident contributor in client or project settings, able to mentor junior colleagues, and provide value-driven recommendations to clients, supporting commercial discussions through expertise in client processes.
