Location: Swansea
Contract/Hours: Permanent, Part-time – 35 hours per week (on a rota basis, working days, evenings, waking nights and weekends)

About the Service
Ty Laura serves as a vital resource for families in need of respite care and supports children and young people with additional learning needs and health needs that have a daily impact on the young people’s lives on a minimum of 2 nights per month basis, supporting up to 4 children a night, across 6 days a week.
We have five uniquely designed bedrooms to interest each child’s personality, which will make them feel comfortable and at 'home' during their short stay.
Our aim is to provide opportunities and experiences that widen the individuals sense of belonging through our individualised support.
About the role
As a Team Leader Residential, you’ll will provide an environment where the young people we support, will receive positive experiences of reliable, consistent parenting through providing specific and structured care, with very clear consistent boundaries.
You will work with the Registered Manager in the day to day running of the service and deputise in their absence, whilst working as part of a multi-disciplinary team ensuring that the children and young people, we support develop to reach their full potential.
At the same time, we will provide specialist learning, training, and Supervision to speed your professional development – alongside a competitive rewards package.

- Providing direct line management to a team of residential staff to deliver high standards of care.
- Supporting Young People to achieve positive outcomes.
- Preparing for and participating in Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings
- Being an advocate for the wellbeing of the young people.
- Leading and assessing staff, carrying out supervisions, appraisals and risk assessments.

If you have experience as a Team Leader Residential and you’re passionate about creating brighter futures, this could be the perfect role for you.
- A L3 Social Care Diploma is essential, and L4 Leadership and Management Qualification is desirable with a willingness to work towards
- Experience of a senior role in a children's home, residential short breaks or children's services.
- Experience of supporting staff through QCF, AWIF and Induction.
- A sound awareness of the RISCA (Wales) Act 2016, Social Services (Wales) Act 2014 and key H&S Legislation.
