Skills and Responsibilities:
Experienced Principal Mechanical – Rotating Equipment and Package Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the Oil & Gas (Onshore/Offshore), Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical industry. Experience in the Sustainable, Renewable Energy and Decarbonization Projects are preferred. Skilled in Mechanical – Rotating Equipment and Package Engineering and should have experienced in Conceptual Design, FEED, Basic & Detailed Engineering including EPC and EPCM Projects and Reverse Engineering for Revamp Projects.
Previous Experience in design selection of the following equipment / packages:
- Centrifugal Pumps,
- Positive Displacement Pumps,
- Centrifugal Compressors,
- Reciprocating Compressors,
- Positive Displacement Compressors,
- Gas Turbines,
- Steam Turbines,
- Internal Combustion Engines,
- Pressure Feed Lube Oil systems,
- Mechanical Seals, Couplings and Gearbox,
- Mixers, Fans, Blowers, Motors
- Equipment selection
Proficient in preparation / review of following mechanical deliverables:
- Utility Packages: viz. Air Generation, Water Treatment, Nitrogen, Flare, Steam Generation etc.
- Detailed engineering of any three process packages viz. Hydrogen Generation, Distillation Package, Vapor Recovery Package, TEG Package, MEG Package, Refrigeration Package etc.
- Review and provide guidance on preparation of deliverables such as Design Basis, Equipment List, Technical Specifications, Datasheets, Material / Purchase Requisitions, Technical Bid Analysis & Report and VDRN.
- Participate in project design reviews, HAZOP, model review etc.
- Prepare man hour estimate and support project proposals.
- Perform inter-discipline squad checks.
- Perform technical audits and quality reviews.
- Value Engineering & Optimization
- Achieve Project Productivity and Man-Power Planning.
- Guide and mentor engineers.
Job Knowledge
- International Codes & Standards and Best Engineering Practices
- Proficiency in design and detailed engineering of Rotating Equipment and Packages
- Proficiency with API codes is mandatory.
- Proficiency with rotodynamic and aerodynamic analysis of equipment
- Expertise in equipment selection along with auxiliaries
- Mechanical workflow and interdisciplinary co-ordination
- Project management and control procedures

- Project Risk Assessment
- Adherence to HSE norms

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
- B. Tech/B.E. OR Master’s degree - Mechanical
- 15 - 22 years of basic and detail engineering experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, & Petrochemical industry
- Candidates having an experience from Reputed Engineering Consulting Companies preferably in the field of Refinery, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Fertilizers, Oil & Gas.
Communication:
- Presentation and business communication skill
- Identify/report technical concerns and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
- Attend project and team meeting.
- Conduct technical training session for team.
