Your Impact

As a Supervisor, Mine Operations Underground at the Brucejack Mine, you’ll be a key leader in driving safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible underground operations. Working closely with the Mine Superintendents, you will oversee daily mining activities to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining operational excellence, supporting team performance, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability underground.

As Part of Our Team, You Will
  • Lead by example to foster a strong safety culture and compliance with policies and regulations
  • Provide oversight and daily reporting on underground mining contractor performance
  • Assist in planning and managing contractor activities to maximize operational value
  • Monitor contractor performance in mine maintenance and cost-plus activities
  • Respond to underground issues requiring immediate attention
  • Conduct monthly safety compliance and performance evaluations
  • Provide expertise on underground mining methods, technologies, and ground support
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the underground mine plan, ensuring contractor compliance with company priorities
  • Attend and participate in daily short interval control meetings, providing insights into delays and scheduling impacts
  • Lead the management of incidents, ensuring thorough investigations, data collection, and corrective action implementation
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
  • Unwavering commitment to safety and environmental values
  • Minimum 10 years of mining industry experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role
  • Possess a BC Underground Shift Boss Ticket
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Possess a valid First Aid Certificate
  • Proven ability to manage contractors in both technical and operational settings
  • Strong leadership skills with a team-building mentality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Remote camp setting with private accommodations provided
  • Onsite meals, gym, recreation, and entertainment facilities
  • Travel allowance and transportation arrangements included
  • Rotational schedule: 13 days on / 13 days off

We are now recruiting for the position of Supervisor, Mine Operations UG, with a competitive annual base salary of $103,275-137,700 plus a 15% Short-Term Incentive Plan. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity. The expected salary range for this role is CA$103,300 - 137,700 / year . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia.
