About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Inglewood, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Inglewood, CA
• Schedule: 10 hours, 1 session a week for 1 hour
• Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

• Fluent in Chinese and able to provide clear instruction in reading, writing, and math skills.
• Experienced in supporting students with ASD, anxiety, and diverse learning profiles.
• Skilled in foundational literacy, math instruction, handwriting support, and multi-sensory strategies.
• Patient, calm, and structured, able to adapt lessons to the student’s pace and needs.
• Creative, engaging, and able to integrate the student’s interests to encourage learning.
• Collaborative, working effectively with caregivers and other tutors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Chinese-language instruction focusing on foundational literacy, math, and handwriting skills.
• Support communication development and engagement for a student with delayed speech.
• Use visual aids, manipulatives, and interactive methods to enhance understanding and retention.
• Incorporate structured routines, breaks, and positive reinforcement to manage frustration or anxiety.
• Collaborate with the family and coordinate with other tutors supporting English and Math.
• Conduct periodic assessments to track progress and inform lesson planning.
• Incorporate engaging activities to maintain focus and motivation.
