About the Department
The Multimedia Production Specialist supports Alamance Community College’s communication,marketing, and instructional initiatives through the creation of high-quality print and digital media. This position manages the daily operations of the ACC Print Center while developing and maintaining visually consistent web and digital content that enhances the college’s image, supports recruitment, and strengthens engagement with students, faculty, and the community. The Specialist ensures accuracy, efficiency, and creativity across all print and digital platforms.
Position Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate all activities in the ACC Print Center, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality completion of all print jobs.
- Operate and maintain high-volume xerographic and finishing equipment; serve as Key Operator for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair coordination.
- Review and format files for proper alignment and output before printing.
- Ensure compliance with copyright laws for all reproduced materials.
- Oversee production scheduling, job tracking, and departmental billing; prepare monthly reports for accounting and maintain detailed chargeback records.
- Maintain inventory of paper, toner, and other supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service and production guidance to faculty, staff, and students.
- Design, develop, and maintain web pages within ACC’s content management system (Omni CMS /Modern Campus) in alignment with college branding and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain brand consistency across all digital and print platforms.
- Optimize web content for search engine performance (SEO) and user experience.
- Analyze web analytics to track engagement and identify opportunities for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- Associate degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Communications, Computer Programming, or a related field or three (3) years of related professional experience in lieu of degree.
- At least three (3) years of experience in web design, graphic design, or print production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and experience with web content management systems (Omni CMS, WordPress, or similar).
- Experience operating and maintaining high-volume printing and finishing equipment.
- Experience in higher education, marketing, or public communications.
- Familiarity with SEO, web accessibility standards, and analytics tools.
