Summary
Highly analytical and detail-oriented Process & Master Data Analyst with focus on designing, optimizing, and governing data processes across enterprise environments. Skilled in integrating master data management (MDM) best practices, data cleansing, data quality assurance, and process improvement initiatives. Proven track record of collaborating cross-functionally (IT, operations, business units) to align data standards, mitigate data discrepancies, and drive reliable reporting systems. Adept at using SQL, ETL tools, data governance frameworks, and process mapping to transform raw data into a “single source of truth” to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
Position Overview
The Process & Master Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and accuracy of master data across systems, as well as for analyzing, improving, and maintaining business processes related to data flow. This role works across multiple functional teams to support operational excellence, data governance, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Master Data Management
- Maintain, update, and monitor master data records (e.g. customers, vendors, products, locations, cost centers, BOMs) in ERP and other enterprise systems.
- Ensure master data adheres to company standards, business rules, and data governance frameworks.
- Validate, cleanse, and enrich data; resolve discrepancies, duplicates, and missing or inconsistent values.
Process Analysis & Improvement
- Map, document, and analyze existing data-related processes and workflows.
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks in current processes.
- Propose, design, and implement process improvements (automation, standardization, policy changes) to increase accuracy, reduce cycle time, and lower errors.
Data Quality & Governance
- Define data quality metrics and KPIs (e.g., accuracy, timeliness, completeness) and monitor performance.
- Support data governance initiatives—coordinate with data stewards/data owners to define roles, responsibilities, and standards.
- Assist in audit readiness and compliance activities related to master data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, Customer Services, Product Management, or other relevant business units to gather data requirements, understand processes, and ensure alignment of master data with business needs.
- Provide support for system implementations, upgrades, or integrations that affect master data or related processes.
- Educate and coach business users on data policies, best practices, and master data processes.
Reporting, Analytics & Documentation
- Build and maintain dashboards/reports to communicate data health, trends, and process performance.
- Perform root cause analyses to determine underlying issues affecting data or process performance and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation: data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Business Strategy, Processes & Administration
- Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements
- Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members
- Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements
- Analyze business requirements (As Is), design business process and propose Blueprint functional solution for To Be future state.
- Design functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, workflow and forms.
- Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements
- Manage third parties on project execution and improvements
- Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyses, and solve software problems.
- Participate in system upgrades, inclusive of end-to-end testing.
- Develops, coordinates and implements plans to test processes and configuration assuring quality of any additions, changes or deletions to the system.
- Create and maintain proper documentation: Process, Training and Procedures
- Train users on processes, procedures and systems.
- Support daily Operations Issues – Prioritizing critical issues.
- Provides timely response to end user calls and help desk tickets assisting in problem resolution (helpdesk-role).
- Liaison between business and IT.
- Maintains focus on security, standards and compliance policies while building optimal solutions
- Ensure that tickets are closed according to SLA pre-defined.
Requirements
- Ten (10) years of experience in processes mapping and master data management
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects at the same time
- Bachelor’s degree (IT, Business Management or related)
- Extensive experience in managing projects with third parties (team management, project cost, resources and timeline management, weekly meetings, project leadership reporting).
- Must have been involved with coordinating unit and integration testing with other modules and created test scenarios.
- Implementation experience includes business requirement analysis, mapping clients' business systems processes (As Is & To Be) and GAP analysis.
- Ability, availability to travel, as dictated by business needs. Must have a valid driver license, auto insurance and appropriate travel documentation (including, but not limited to, passport).
- Strong communication skills in the English language (listening, verbal, written, presentation, inter-personal)

Preferred Education, Experience and Knowledge
- Understanding of manufacturing and business processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or similar.
Pay Transparency
The current pay for this position is starting at $95,000/yr. Rate of pay will depend on factors such as market conditions and location, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training and experience. If hired, employment will be at will. The Company reserves the right to modify pay, as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program, at any time.
