Who should apply?

We welcome applicants from all academic backgrounds. Interns will be placed based on departmental needs and candidate alignment. We are looking for curious, motivated individuals eager to contribute and grow. Below are examples of potential internship areas:

Finance/Accounting

Assist with financial reporting, data reconciliation, and accounting systems. Gain exposure to budget tracking and credit union operations.

Marketing

Support campaign development, social media content creation, and member engagement strategies. Analyze marketing metrics and contribute to brand-building initiatives.

Human Resources

Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement activities. Learn HR systems and help maintain compliance with employment policies.

Project Management

Coordinate timelines, track progress on initiatives, and support documentation efforts. Learn project planning tools and contribute to process improvement within cross-functional teams.

Information or Data Systems

Assist with supporting core applications, troubleshooting, and system performance. Hands-on experience with member-facing technologies, data integrity processes, and IT service operations.

Other Professional Fields

Support administrative functions, member services, or strategic initiatives based on academic background and interests.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Have completed at least two years toward a degree (Junior or Senior status preferred)
  • Hold a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Be available to work on-site at our administrative offices in Frankfort, KY
  • Meet Commonwealth Credit Union’s pre-employment requirements
