The New Product Inspector helps ensure that all new products arriving at RTG distribution centers are thoroughly inspected for quality and compliance with both RTG and federal standards. This role is essential for maintaining the quality and safety of products before they reach the market or are distributed for sale.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspects and checks the new products for any defects or quality issues.
- Verifies compliance by making sure the products meet all required RTG and federal standards.
- Identifies and evaluates any potential quality concerns with the products.
- Assembles the product to ensure it meets the required specifications, when applicable.
- Reports findings by documenting the inspection results and any issues found during the process.
- Uses the Telxon Gun to locate vendor color panels and inventory cycle.
- Uses the computer daily to complete NPI reports.
- Identifies damage to furniture.
- Prints identification tags for furniture.
- Selects the proper N.A.S (Not Available for Sale) warehouse to send furniture.
- Pushes furniture to designated areas.
- Recycles all recyclable material.
- Assists other departments as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
