Senior Global Site Budget Specialist
Main Purpose:
The main purpose of the Global Site Budget Specialist is to efficiently manage the generation of compliant clinical trial global site budgets, in collaboration with project/study teams. Collaborate with Clinical Customer Engagement & Operations Teams to ensure smooth operational delivery of global site budgets to allow for efficient, effective and compliant conduct of clinical trials.
Lead continuous system & process enhancements, including user requirements gathering, testing, and rollout of process tooling. Although primarily focussed on driving efficiencies in the global site budget area, responsibility may extend to other areas or APM.
Support and coach other members of the Global Site Budget Group, as required.
Key Working Relationships:
Internal: Legal department, Compliance Office, local and global Study Team, Clinical Customer Engagement & Operations Teams, Data Management, Data Privacy Department, APM Leadership.
External: External Supplier for benchmark tool.

Global responsibilities
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the Global Core Fair Market Value Site Budget for each study, utilizing appropriate benchmark data/tools in accordance with the clinical study protocol, project requirements, and thorough analysis of industry standards and historical data.
- Ensure clinical procedure frequency and cost data are consistent with the project objectives and the protocol.
- Follows internal budget build guidelines to ensure proper standard codes are used for the particular therapeutic area
- Quality check peers’ global budgets to ensure accuracy
- Provides strategic input in global study budgets build processes within a highly regulated environment
- Collaborates with key study team members to achieve alignment on the global site budget
- Leads training calls with the selected countries on the study-specific country site budget
- Develop and maintain automated reporting and dashboards (e.g. Veeva-based outputs and Sharepoint trackers) to support transparency, forecast accuracy, and operational decision-making across studies and regions.
- Support continuous system enhancements, including user requirements gathering,
testing, and rollout of budget process tooling (eg templates, automated workflows,
validations, and knowledge hubs). - Maintain excellent communication and collaboration as point person for global site budgets in key working relationships with project/study teams.
- Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency of site budget processes
- Identify best practices and implement innovative solutions to streamline workflows and reduce turnaround times
- Actively seeks industry intelligence, insights and innovations
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) with at least 8 years of clinical operations experience in clinical site budget development within the pharmaceutical or related industry, or equivalent experience/education combination.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and oral/written skills are required.
- The candidate must also have the ability to prioritize, multitask and work both independently as well as part of the team.
