About The Job

This is an exciting opportunity for an Interim Treasury Transformation Lead in a newly created role.

This role is responsible for three areas:

  • Providing oversight of MS Amlin's banking partners

  • Managing the negotiation and implementation of financing solutions to meet the needs of the business; and

  • Leading the operational transformation to implement a revised Treasury operating model within MS Amlin

There may also be opportunities for involvement with implementation of the revised Investments operating model, depending on workload, though direct experience in investments is not essential.

This is a key position with significant responsibility in the successful implementation of the Investments and Treasury operating model. This position reports to the Head of Investments.
 

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing

While there is rarely a typical day, here is a snapshot of some of the key parts of the job:

  • Recommend and deliver financing solutions to achieve optimum effectiveness for the business

  • Collaborate with banks and other key stakeholders to develop strong relationships based on the understanding of requirements and priorities

  • Provide guidance in financing matters to be the subject matter expert

  • Review best practice research in the banking industry as it relates to financing for insurance firms through consultation with peers, consultants and industry experts

  • Negotiate with partner banks and legal teams to agree commercial terms and documentation

  • Timetable the terms of existing facilities for planning purposes to negotiate, cancel, amend, extend or renew

  • Guide the business on the use of financing partners to ensure the best service and costs are achieved

  • Produce clear, concise and user focused MI in relation to financing and the performance of funding providers

  • Carrying out due diligence on potential new financing partners

  • Working with senior stakeholders to design the end state operating model for bringing Investments and Treasury functions in house.

  • Working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to effectively build the project plans and manage the oversee the project delivery of the transition to the end state operating model for investments and treasury

  • Work with the Investment, Finance and Risk teams to draft, agree and monitor delivery versus detailed project plans, including processes, technology solutions, MI and data

  • Ensure key risks and dependencies are identified, monitored and mitigated

  • Work with the Investment, Finance and Risk teams to draft, agree and monitor progress of changes in asset structures/fund managers

  • Deliver and present the required papers to the Investment Committee, in line with its terms of reference.

What you’ll need

For this particular role we need you to have:

  • Significant level of experience in a similar including experience in relevant roles, such as treasury or finance roles within insurers or banking

  • Relevant professional qualification within treasury, investments or accounting

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and manage complex projects within tight deadlines

  • Calmness under workload pressure
