The Position

You will play a lead role to deliver best in class video content across all SCCC digital channels and support the delivery of key communications messages to target audiences.

As part of the Communications Team, you will be covering the Surrey teams and our new Hundred franchise teams, filming the action on the pitch and bringing fans behind the scenes into the life of a cricket player off it.

You will build strong relationships across the organisation including the office staff, players and coaching staff to showcase everything about Surrey and the Kia Oval.

You will lead the video creation process from ideation and planning to managing and filming shoots all the way to editing and optimising content to be published across the Club’s social media channels

Requirements

What you’ll do

 

  • Working within the Communications Team you will lead the production of video to promote the key messages of SCCC.
  • Lead pre-production, shooting and editing of video content for Surrey and The Kia Oval as well as the new franchise teams in the Hundred.
  • You will play a key creative role in developing long- and short-form content to bring to life important moments for the Club including player signings, kit launches and brand campaigns.
  • Help to shape the brand style and aesthetic for the different teams in the Surrey family and different formats of the game that are played at The Kia Oval.
  • Ensure that video content is optimised for different platforms and audiences, to maximise effectiveness.
  • Manage the SCCC video archive and ensure that it is kept up to date.
  • Work across the organisation to source story-telling opportunities to promote SCCC and The Kia Oval.

 

As our lead in-house videographer, you will be creating video content across the following areas:

  • Surrey’s men’s and women’s home domestic fixtures (with some attendance at away fixtures on an ad hoc basis.
  • All international fixtures at The Kia Oval
  • Communications Campaigns
  • Promotion of the work of the Surrey Cricket Foundation in the community
  • Corporate partnerships
  • Community projects run by Surrey CCC including the Ben Hollioake Learning Centre, Sixth Form State School programme
  • Ticketing and Hospitality Sales
  • Conference and Events

 

  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help procure the new equipment required to succeed in the position.

The Person

The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:

 

Essential:

  • Advanced camera operating skills
  • Advanced skill using video-editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience in producing varied video content from pre to post-production
  • Understanding of working within brand guidelines to create a look and style that is consistent
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Accuracy and attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Experience of using motion graphics software such as Adobe After Effects is desirable
  • Experience working with and managing shoots with high profile individuals or talent
  • A team-player, able to communicate well with others in a high pressure working environment

Please note that this role will require you to be available to work on the majority of Surrey domestic home fixtures as well as international matchdays at the Kia Oval throughout the summer, this will include late evenings and weekends.

£35,000-£38,000 dependant on experience
