GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Work hand in hand with the SPD Manager, Forman, and other Special Projects employees to build, fix, create and innovate around the resort. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITES

-          Coordinate with the Shop Forman on daily projects and events, any maintenance issues fixed.

-          Building and Creating Props and Scenes for Woodloch’s Haunted Walk

-          Work on Celebration of Lights, creating new light boards and fixing existing issues with broken boards

-          Assist with creating, constructing, painting, and problem solving a Broadway style show

-          Daily and Monthly checklist of Social Amenities, fixing any issues that need be

-          Organization of the Special Projects Warehouse, and keeping track of the inventory list

-          Ability to operate bigger machines with proper training.  Backhoe, Self-driving lifts, etc. No Experience Necessary

-          Must be able to make decisions on your own.  Take initiative.

-          Adequate at painting

-          Must have a flexible schedule, will be asked to work some Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.

-          Plowing/Shoveling.  During Storms will be required to work long hours and/or overnights.  General cleanup of all snow and ice around resort.   If applicant has not plowed, training will be provided.

-          Ability to work independently

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE/ OTHER REQUIREMENTS

-          Experience including basic understanding of Carpentry, Power tools, Drills, Saws, etc.  General maintenance will be required.

-          Good Communication and organizational skills

-          Technology ability and understanding including computers, smartphones, tablets, etc.

-          Valid driver’s license

LANGUAGE SKILLS

-          Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions.  Ability to document reports and business correspondence via email.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to the questions

-          Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages to prepare job costs and proposals
