About the Role

Support the Manager – R2R in delivering high-quality general ledger services for the EMEA region. This includes month-end close, reconciliations, intercompany, fixed assets, and reporting. The role also supports transition activities from EMEA to APAC SSC and contributes to continuous improvement and automation initiatives. The incumbent will act as a key liaison between regional stakeholders and the SSC team.

 

Key Performance Indicators / Dimension of Function:

  • Internal and external Customer Satisfaction: SLA achievements, including delivery performance; quality and timely communication.
  • All financial reporting for the region meets agreed business requirements in terms of relevance, accuracy and timeframes.
  • Support for the ongoing improvement of new processes.
  • Support the growth and development of the EMEA Finance proposition over time.
  • Efficiency gains and process improvements, measured through specific KPIs.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close activities in SAP ECC (or S/4HANA) for EMEA entities.
  • Own and drive the transition of R2R processes from EMEA to APAC SSC, including planning, execution, documentation, and stabilization.
  • Post standard and ad-hoc journals, intercompany reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for EMEA finance stakeholders and ensure alignment with global finance objectives.
  • Support group reporting and management reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX /internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Identify and support process improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across regions.
  • Contribute to compliance with budgetary and financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist and contribute to necessary statutory compliance, licensing and insurances for Landis+Gyr businesses in EMEA.
  • Assist with internal and external auditing procedures as required and contribute to ensuring corrective actions are achieved Corporate Citizenship.
  • Manage Energy Better: Consciously drive for continuous improvement in reusing, recycling or reducing waste.
  • Maintain awareness of identified and potential health and safety, quality and environmental aspects within the workplace and their impact, including the reporting of any accidents/incidents/near misses or hazards.
  • Act responsibly to meet the objectives/requirements at the appropriate level as described in the Landis+Gyr policies.

 

 Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of post CA qualification’ experience in a General Ledger function in a international organization.
  • Relevant SAP knowledge and experience.
  • Relevant Cognos knowledge and experience. 
  • High level of computer literacy
  • International APAC/ EMEA Experience highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of R2R processes, transition and Continuous Improvement has context menu.

 

Minimum qualifications

  • Qualified CA
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - Good written and verbal language skills, as per country requirement for the in scope profile.
  • Good Negotiation Skills.
  • High customer service orientation.
  • Stakeholder management
  • Ability to prioritize optimally, be flexible as needs change.
