AVL is the world's largest independent company for the development, simulation and testing of powertrain systems (hybrid, combustion engine, transmission, electric drive, batteries, fuel cell and control technology) for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, construction, large engines and their integration into the vehicle.
AVL is searching for candidates to work within the facilities of a major customer in Valladolid as a Powertrain Performance Leader
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Powertrain Performance Leader is responsible for:
• Monitor, evaluate and provide final opinion for hybrid powertrains on:
- Driveability and performance
- Pollutant emissions, efficiency and OBD
- NVH (noise, vibration, harshness)
• Lead a team of experts to achieve internal development targets on new engines and vehicles
• Reporting to the Quality team and project during the development of the project.
Additionally, the Global Powertrain Performance Leader is also responsible for:
- Lead a team of experts to achieve internal development targets on new engines and vehicles
- Synthesis management with PPCs emissions/consumption, drivability and NVH
- One voice from all performances to the project manager
- Reporting to the Quality team and project during the development of the project.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Automotive Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in powertrain system development or similar automotive technologies, with focus on electrified powertrains.
- Deep knowledge of hybrid powertrain architectures, including electric motor and battery integration.
- Experience in managing engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Technical experience in electronic systems architecture, engine calibration, software, and product design.
- Familiarity with tools such as ETAS INCA, CONCERTO, CRETA, MATLAB, SIMULINK, CANalyzer, CAMEO, PUMA, OSIRIS, INDICOM is a plus.
- High level of English both Spanish, and/or French.
