Location: Wilkes-Barre area (Onsite 35 hours/week)
Engagement Type: 1099 Contractor, 35 hours/week for 3-6 months

About the Role:
Exude Human Capital is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented HR Generalist to support one of our manufacturing clients in the Wilkes-Barre area. This consultant will work onsite for 35 hours per week and partner closely with the VP of HR to strengthen day-to-day HR operations, streamline processes, and ensure compliance. This role is highly tactical and ideal for someone who enjoys being embedded in daily HR activities, improving workflow organization, and providing dependable onsite support for a fast-paced environment with a large hourly workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain and organize employee files (currently paper-based) and create structure around documentation and compliance.
- Support development and refinement of HR processes and workflows.
- Manage new hire paperwork, documentation, and I-9 compliance.
Onboarding & Workforce Support
- Lead Monday morning (6:00 AM) onboarding and orientation sessions.
- Ensure all required onboarding paperwork is completed accurately.
- Track 28+ open hourly roles and coordinate with an external recruiting agency for interviews, updates, and scheduling.
Payroll & Systems
- Process biweekly payroll using ADP Run with accuracy and consistency.
- Track hours, pay changes, and deductions.
- Support preparation for a future transition from ADP Run to Paylocity.
Benefits & Employee Relations
- Track benefits eligibility and support enrollment processes.
- Provide support for basic employee relations issues (limited volume).
- Conduct offboarding, including exit interviews and documentation.
Qualifications
- 4-7+ years of HR Generalist experience, ideally in manufacturing or similar hourly workforce environments
- Strong organizational and administrative skills; comfortable managing paper-based systems.
- Experience processing payroll (ADP, Paylocity preferred)
- Ability to work onsite 35 hours/week and support early-morning onboarding
- Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania labor laws and compliance requirements.
- Experience setting up HR processes and systems from the ground up.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with ongoing turnover.
