Yoga Instructor - Mission Viejo presso YMCA of Orange County

Description

The YMCA of Orange County has an immediate need for a Yoga Instructor at our Mission Viejo Family YMCA. We’re seeking a passionate instructor who can inspire participants, lead safe and effective classes, and create an inclusive group fitness experience. Instructor will be responsible for teaching a weekly Wednesday class at 9:30 AM.

Responsibilities:

• Teach fitness classes; develop fitness routines, exercises, and choreography for participants
• Implement fitness program based on the National Association and branch YMCA program standards
• Promote programs to members and participants
• Record participant counts, distribute and collect program evaluations, report incidents
• Maintain housekeeping
• Follow and enforce safety standards and other policies and procedures

Qualifications

Hiring Criteria
The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Experience & Certifications:

• Yoga Certification
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• CPR and First Aid certifications (taught and paid for by the YMCA)

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to positively motivate members/children/participants in fitness activities
• Strong customer and results orientation
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
