Overview:

The AVP Branch Services is responsible for leading effective performance of full-service branches within their assigned area. They promote continuous improvement in sales, service, and operational effectiveness through direct oversight, coaching, counseling, feedback, reinforcement, and support of the Credit Union’s sales and service culture. The AVP Branch Services works to achieve individual, branch, area, and credit union-wide goals through new business development, referrals and retention of member relationships. He or she serves as a vocal Ambassador of our credit union’s mission, vision, and why statement. The AVP Branch Services provides leadership, accountability, encouragement, and training to assigned Branch Managers and teammates in the pursuit of the credit union’s core purpose.

Responsibilities:
  • Takes a hands-on approach assisting assigned Branches in achieving goals and objectives while ensuring high engagement and effective performance
  • Mentor, coach, and support Branch Managers, helping them be successful in all aspects of the branch: sales, service and operations. Provide feedback during branch visits and address performance opportunities to foster growth and development
  • Collaborate with other AVP’s to establish and achieve meaningful production goals, complete retail initiatives, maintain uniformity of credit union-wide best practices, and contribute to the retail division long term growth and efficiency
  • Work directly with internal partners (Commercial Lending, Mortgage Lending, Capital Management, Training, etc.) to ensure alignment of sales and service efforts. Identify and resolve barriers to excellence
  • Work directly with Branch Management to oversee the hiring and development of staff.
  • Encourage ongoing training activities and consistent coaching to improve team member skillset and maintain employee engagement
  • Act as a leader and business influencer in the communities they serve, attending joint sales calls with Branch Managers to observe performance and ensure success.
  • Participate in business development and professional groups.
  • Serve as a vocal ambassador for the NWFCU brand and business development effort
  • Ensure appropriate credit union representation at community events as well as on-going leadership through civic and community organization involvement
  • Success will be achieved by creating and maintaining an environment where the assigned Branch Managers achieve business objectives while providing the highest sales quality and service standards. To ensure alignment, the goals for this position are a sum of the goals of the Branches assigned
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience acting as a Branch Manager
  • Ability to travel between branches frequently and as needed
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and/or with members
  • Strong knowledge of retail credit union products and solutions
  • Ability to work with little/no supervision while performing his/her assigned duties
  • Excellent organizational, time management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team in the achievement of organizational goals
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively on-site and equally effectively remotely
  • Must be able to work the hours of M-F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
