We are seeking compassionate, reliable individuals looking for a meaningful part-time opportunity to support others. As a Part-Time Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and supportive services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you will assist with community integration and inclusion, offer guidance to individuals and their support networks, and help create meaningful opportunities for participation in community activities.
You will also ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of individuals living in our residential setting through proper supervision and support.
This part-time position includes the expectation to work scheduled shifts, Sunday 8 AM - 9 PM and Wednesdays 2 PM - 10 PM, when service needs typically increase, with ongoing part-time hours available throughout the year.

Qualifications Required
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, MVD report and reliable transportation.
- Ability to prepare required paperwork to support and document activities in the contractually required timelines.
- Ability to type and working knowledge/familiarity with computers and electronic clinical record keeping.
- Ability to successfully complete certification and trainings for First Aid, CPR, Article 9, Medication, and Prevention/Support, Direct Care Worker and any other required training. The agency will provide training if the candidate does not possess.
- Able to operate independently with minimal oversight.
- Demonstrated skills to ensure respectful communication to participants and coworkers.
- Must obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and pass a background check along with Central Registry Clearance.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and a varied schedule each week.
Qualifications Preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Sign Language.
- Prior experience in Habilitation or Rehabilitation
- Two years of experience in a person-centered community integration program assisting persons with developmental and/or psychiatric disabilities.
- Two years of experience in habilitation/rehabilitative assistance to persons with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities
- Very strong interpersonal skills
