Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proficiency in: InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
  • Core Expertise: Possess skill, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential duties of their role; keeps knowledge up to date.

Experience:
  • Three years experience in marketing, communications, and/or public relations experience required.
  • Previous Nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Must have an understanding of social and electronic media.

Position Summary:

The Marketing Specialist works closely with the Chief Advancement Officer, the Director of Marketing and Communications, and all program staff, to manage and facilitate aspects of the Wingspan Care Group’s external relations program. This includes supporting the marketing activities of the Ohio Healthy Transitions Project (OHTP) for the duration of the grant period. This position also provides administrative support to the Development Division, including activities related to marketing, special events, fund raising and general administrative duties.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Manage marketing requests from all Wingspan Care Group agencies and programs, including monitoring requests, delegating projects, communications with requestors and ensuring timely request completion.
  • Manage and process all invoices related to marketing.
  • Assist Director of Marketing and Communications to ensure adherence to agencies’ brands.
  • Assist the OHTP grant team and the Director of Marketing and Communications with implementation of a social awareness campaign (Goal 2) including media placement, processing and maintaining media placement contracts, etc.
  • Serve as the liaison from Development Division to key programs, including, but not limited to, Annual Fund Campaigns, JBBBS, Holiday Lights, etc.
  • Support the programs and goals of the agencies through the development of marketing strategies and supporting materials.
  • Implement social media strategy to support the initiatives of Wingspan Care Group, including, but not limited to, CME, staff recruitment and retention, and Foster Care.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to increase social media audience.
  • Develop original content for social media, Mailchimp campaigns and other marketing efforts.
  • Monitor and measure impact of social media strategies.
  • Coordinate necessary revisions and upgrades to agency websites.
  • Attend Development Division meetings.
  • Attend and support all special events of Wingspan agencies.
  • General administrative support of the Development Division.
  • Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment.  All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  • Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  • With the Specialist of Annual Campaigns and Special Events, coordinate logistics for all development special events.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
