Role Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of workflow automations, internal tools, and process optimisations across ETF operations.
- Work directly with operations stakeholders to deeply understand their challenges, then translate these into technical solutions that drive measurable impact.
- Use innovative approaches, including automation, workflow orchestration, and AI-powered solutions, to solve operational problems and uplift efficiency.
- Take full ownership of projects from scoping through to delivery, including code quality, testing, documentation, and deployment.
- Identify and prioritise automation opportunities to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
- Integrate data sources and APIs from custodians, administrators, and third-party providers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new tools and systems meet security, reliability, and scalability standards.
- Proactively monitor existing automation and data workflows, ensuring performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate progress clearly with stakeholders, managing expectations and influencing decisions with confidence.
About You
- 3–5 years’ experience in a process automation, operations engineering, or data engineering role (financial services exposure highly regarded).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to explain complex systems in plain English and drive alignment across teams.
- Confident working autonomously, you don’t rely on senior engineers for reviews or direction; you take ownership and deliver.
- Proficient in Python and SQL, with demonstrated experience in data-driven automation and workflow optimisation.
- Exposure to AWS, CI/CD, Docker, and Temporal.io (or similar orchestration frameworks).
- Curious, analytical, and proactive in identifying and implementing improvements.
- Experience applying AI-powered or algorithmic approaches to automate tasks, improve workflows, or support decision-making (or a strong interest in learning).
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
