The Payroll Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. This role involves analyzing payroll data, resolving discrepancies, preparing reports, and collaborating with HR and Finance teams to support payroll operations. The Payroll Analyst also contributes to process improvements, audits, and system enhancements to maintain payroll integrity and efficiency.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Proficiency in payroll software, specifically ADP
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) 
  • Familiarity with HRIS and financial systems 
  • Understanding of payroll tax regulations and labor laws

  • Attention to detail in ensuring accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll information

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or associate degree
  • 5+ years payroll experience 
  • ADP software experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Training or experience with multi state payroll
  • Knowledge of processing multiple company payrolls – biweekly, monthly
  • Understanding payroll general ledger processing
  • Experience processing payroll of 1,000+ employees
  • Understanding of FLSA Overtime and calculations
  • Experience with processing off cycle payroll runs as needed
  • Payroll training or certifications from PayrollOrg (formerly The American Payroll Assoc)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • May be required to stand, reach, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Visual acuity to read screens, reports, and spreadsheets.
  • Occasional walking, standing, bending, or reaching within the office.

Health and Safety: 

  • Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards. 
  • Perform job functions in a safe manner. 
  • Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company Policy for the job being performed both in the facility and during customer visits. 
  • Know and follow established job specific and facility wide safety and health procedures and rules. 
  • Actively participate in safety and health training and demonstrate competency based on training received. 
  • Bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management’s attention or correct those you can. 

Work Environment: 

  • This position is primarily based in a professional office environment.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and filing systems.
  • May involve occasional remote work depending on company policy.
  • Work hours are typically Monday through Friday during regular business hours, with occasional overtime during payroll cycles or reporting periods.
  • The role requires collaboration with HR, Finance, and other departments, often through meetings, emails, and virtual communication tools.
