Job Summary
Provide day-to-day administrative assistance and support to the Human Resources Manager, for a variety of human resources related matters, including recruitment, benefits, and payroll.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for full cycle recruiting for all positions; including but not limited to dispositioning candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, coordinating pre-hire checks, arranging employment ads, coordinating job fair attendance, etc.
· Establish connections with local trade schools, colleges/universities and other community-based organizations.
· Coordinate new employee onboarding and conduct new hire orientation.
- Executes weekly payroll by collecting and verifying time keeping information, including paid time off, timely payments of payroll liabilities-- payroll taxes, child support, garnishments, workers compensation, 401k contributions, and benefit premiums.
- Document and process changes including new hires, separations, salary actions, supervisor changes, location changes etc. accurately and timely to meet payroll deadlines and maintain data integrity of HRIS system.
· Assist with the coordination and execution of new and on-going training and development programs.
· Collaborate with HR Manager to develop, improve and administer employee policies and procedures.
Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs, including properly escalating issues to HR Manager.
· Administer attendance program and issue related discipline.
· Compile and maintain employee files.
· Assess and resolve employee questions regarding benefits, payroll and attendance.
· Assist in the administration and communication of the annual employee benefits, incentives and gift programs.
· Respond to employment verifications and unemployment claims.
· Maintain employee communication boards, employee engagement activities, etc.
· Build and manage the hourly candidate pipeline end to end (post → screen → schedule → offer → start).
Run weekly onsite hiring activities (walk-in days / job fairs) and local outreach with community partners.
Maintain ATS data and produce a weekly hiring snapshot (opens, interviews, offers, starts, show rate).
· Other duties as assigned.
Food Safety Responsibilities
Monitor and verify activities to ensure that all maintenance work in the facility meet food safety standards in addition to quality standards.
Comply with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures and document data correctly at all times.
Ensure all work product contact surfaces are restored to sanitary condition after any job completion.
Report any product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured product to
Quality and/or Line/Maintenance Supervision.

Minimum Requirements
· Minimum of 3 years of broad knowledge of Human Resources concepts experience.
· Experience with recruitment and payroll.
Education Requirements/Work Experience
· A college degree in the social sciences or equivalent experience with formal training.
· Industrial manufacturing HR experience preferred.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Microsoft Office -- MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
