CDL Driver HAZMAT - CORTEZ, CO presso Gallup Welder Supply

Introduction:

Four Corners Welding & Gas Supply is one of the largest regional independently owned and operated Welding, Industrial, Specialty, and Medical Gases distributors in the Southwestern U.S., with locations in Gallup and Milan, (NM) Cortez and Durango, (CO).

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of hard goods/welding supplies, medical and specialty gases, supporting our bulk delivery operations to customers in industries like hospitals and food service.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Required: High School or equivalent         
• Driving Experience: Minimum 1 Year
• Required: Current Class A CDL License 
• Required: Medical examiner certification 
• Required: Hazmat endorsement
• Required: English language and comprehension 
• Required: 9-13 Manual shift transmission

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operate company-owned trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
• Loads and unloads cylinders using proper handling procedures and equipment 
• Transport and deliver compressed gas cylinders
• Maintains a complete and accurate shipping manifest
• Assisting with pumping oxygen and CO2 cylinders and transfilling other cylinders
• Ensure cargo is properly secured for transport 
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance
• Communication with dispatch
• Completes paperwork such as delivery logs, mileage records, and fuel receipts
• Performs basic vehicle maintenance, including refueling and cleaning
• Maintain all required certification required by DOT and OSHA 
• Safe work practices and use of personal protective equipment 
• Clear communication and foster a cohesive and collaborative work culture
• Exceptional customer service by maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
• Protects the company’s value by keeping proprietary information confidential
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

Physical effort requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulders, gripping, reach with hands and arms, carrying, climb up and down stairs. Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and keyboarding. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. Exposure to dust, exposure to extreme weather conditions. Workday and Environment: This full-time position requires a commitment to work from Monday to Friday, early loads and back at home at the end of the day. "DOT Clock"  The work environment is a dynamic retail setting with continuous customer interaction. 

Rate of Pay: $23.5-$24.5
