Your role
We’re looking for a Portfolio Associate focused on our Personalized Tax Managed ("PTM") overlay for UBS Wealth Management private clients to:
• deliver tax and risk-aware overlay on active and passive strategies, working closely with our Asset Allocation and Equity teams as well as Index vendors
• provide accurate and timely implementation of security selection and asset allocation changes, as well as client-directed activities (e.g., deposits, withdrawals), with a focus on tax optimization at the account level
• monitor PTM accounts for opportunities to reduce risk and tax exposure
• create tax-sensitive transition proposals for prospective clients to support discussions with advisors and clients
• articulate the team’s capabilities, investment views and performance to Distribution, Financial Advisors and clients
• contribute to the development of new tax-focused functionalities and process enhancements
• deliver expanded services beyond the U.S. including additional value-added overlays such as options, factor tilts and long short capabilities
Detailed salary information:
• New York: the salary range for this role is $135000 to $195000
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. • understanding of tax implications in portfolio management and the SMA industry
• proficiency in analytical tools such as Bloomberg, Barra, and FactSet
• familiarity with model delivery and Unified Manage Accounts (UMA)
• strong organizational skills and ability to manage high volumes of time-sensitive tasks
• analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
• effective communicator, comfortable presenting complex topics to clients and internal stakeholders
• collaborative team player, able to work effectively as part of a diverse team across multiple locations
• degree in finance, business, or a related field; CFA or MBA are a plus
• programming, coding, or AI skills are a plus
