Under general supervision, responsible for the operation of a specialized educational/social science research area within a recognized unit. Assists with research project tasks to include recruitment, data collection, and the day-to-day operations of research projects.
- Shift schedule: Monday- Thursday from 3PM to Midnight (schedule may change based on department needs)
- This position may be used as a floater or used to assist in coverage gaps.
- Candidates must obtain University Hospital (UH) credentials within six months of employment as a condition for continued employment.
Responsibilities
- Assists in conducting research projects according to the research plan/project.
- Performs duties in support of research project such as scheduling research subjects, obtaining research data, organizing data, researching records and entering data in a research database.
- Assist in conducting literature reviews and maintains information.
- Assists in the maintenance of information and literature, and keeps current on literature and developments in the areas of research.
- Prepares materials for publication.
- Trains and guides other lower level research support personnel in techniques; explains and demonstrates instrument capabilities, operations, limitations and outcomes.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes/other email software.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, to include writing and preparing memorandums, letters, and other official correspondence.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in an educational/social science is required
