Job Description
**Note: This position is intended to operate as the main point of contact and leadership authority for all LM site Supply, GUC & HAZMAT and operations on site. Position doubles as a Supply Field Support Representative (FSR) style role and may also be required to support managerial oversight of site tool room operations for a temporary time period.
In this crucial role, you will oversee all Lockheed Martin responsible operations of Supply, GUC and HAZMAT on site, as well as have managerial oversite and responsibility of personnel operating in support of those roles. This role is a position with responsibilities that will grow in size as this site itself grows in number of aircraft and daily operational flight tempo. This role calls for an individual with a strong background in military F-35, F-22 or other legacy fighter aircraft Supply, GUC and HAZMAT setup, operations, oversight and problem mitigation. Additionally, this is a direct functional leadership role that will be responsible for the daily functional oversight of employees operating in support of Supply chain, GUC and HAZMAT operations and sustainment and calls for an individual who also has a passion for leadership, responsibility and accountability. A commitment to quality and safety, a daily self-starter, as well as embodiment of the aspects of Full Spectrum Leadership are key to success in this role.
Beyond this, you will:
• Manage evolving operational needs and objectives
• Be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, onboarding, training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions
• Enforce local site and company Supply, GUC and HAZMAT operations and sustainment practices
• Coordinate and assign daily tasks among team members, optimizing workflow and efficiency
• Interact with FMS customer representatives, dignitaries, VIP's, and leadership entities on site
• Keep meticulous records of aircraft supply requisition status and reasons for delayed parts arrival within the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), ensuring data accuracy and compliance
• Regularly update the Site Sr. Leadership team on needed Supply, GUC and HAZMAT availability and readiness, ensuring seamless operations
• Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the LM AFS Sr. Site Manager and / or the F-35 Aircraft Maintenance Chief based on emergent mission needs
* Position may require extended work hours.
* Candidate must be able to acquire and maintain a flight line driver's competency card.
* Operates predominantly on 1st shift, but will oversee personnel operating on both 1st and 2nd shifts.
Physical Requirements:
Successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist in the execution of daily job duties.
Basic Qualifications
• Experience in military supply chain, hazardous material program management, General Use Consumable setup and oversight, or combination of any
• Experience with the usage of military Supply, GUC & HAZMAT data tracking and records computer database use and navigation (SCM, SAP, ALIS, etc)
• Experience in standing a Supply, GUC and HAZMAT operation up from the ground up with little guidance in either a home station or deployed military flightline environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret government security clearance
Desired skills
• Working knowledge of Procurement processes including Lockheed Martin Material Acquisition Procedures and FAR
• Experience with government property management databases
• Experience developing long-term strategies (i.e. financial planning, leading a team, corrective action, process improvements
• Easily utilizes Microsoft Office Products; In depth knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel considered a plus
• Able and willing to relocate full time to the Fort Smith Arkansas area
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable working in a team environment
