JOB PURPOSE

 

Enterprise analytics and research team is developing data-driven capabilities that improve customer experience and business efficiency. Utilizing customer data and feedback, we will apply AI and machine learning methods to deliver personalized customer communication and experience. We honor customer preferences, offer a personal touch, and value each interaction as a relationship building opportunity.

 

The Technical Program Lead position leads the data, analytics, and business partners in transforming groundbreaking ideas into solutions. This role supports product managers and engineering leads with entire project timeline, manage technical challenges, formulate solutions, and keep business partners informed of progress. This position supports the team in applying new technologies to enhance customer experience and business operation.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Technology Program Management

  • Own development and delivery of multi-year technical programs in data and analytic-driven business solutions.
  • Create processes to prioritize product roadmaps. Work with product managers and engineering leads to create development plans that include discovery, prioritization, dependency identifications, and resourcing.
  • Prioritize and manage backlog and implementation, ensure product execution meets strategy and requirements and refine features into user stories and story acceptance criteria.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to bring innovative technologies from design to implementation.
  • Review and ascertain requirements of product features and solutions. Recommend technical approaches on critical issues, and guiding teams toward effective solutions.
  • Maintain quality standards and process documentation, lead Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives for the product team.

Lead Product Development and Operation

  • Oversee product development milestones. Prioritize resources to address project obstacles and drive cost reduction.
  • Reviews analysis and monitor performance of new products. Supports problem resolution, resolves issues and acts on feedback.
  • Communicate effectively to management on project plans, status, risks, and critical issues

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or quantitative fields
  • Experience managing projects across functional teams, developing and managing product development processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 5 years of experience working directly with data or software engineering teams
  • 4+ years of technical program management experience
  • 3+ years of work experience in data-oriented technical program management
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, data management, or software development roles a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with prioritization, planning, and documentation
  • Experience on agile teams as Business Analyst or Scrum Master
  • Experience with JIRA or similar project management tool
  • Automotive OEM experience helpful
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical, organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers as well as non-technical and technical personnel.
  • Ability to work effectively with AHM staff, IT staff, third-party vendor staff.
  • Ability to collect business requirements, recommend or make decisions on business requirements/interdependencies.
  • Ability to interact with other Honda company's personnel, builds strong relationships at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and understands business imperatives.
