SUMMARY
The Healthcare IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing senior living and clinical application solutions that precisely align with the organization’s healthcare needs. This role ensures that new solutions are adopted smoothly by clinical and operational staff, and that support teams are fully equipped to maintain and support these solutions. The engineer will collaborate closely with clinical stakeholders, IT leadership, and support staff to ensure the successful integration of technology into care workflows.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clinical Solution Design & Deployment
- Analyze clinical and operational requirements to design application solutions tailored to senior living and healthcare environments.
- Lead the deployment and configuration of new applications, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA) and best practices in healthcare IT.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to validate solution fit and effectiveness.
- User Adoption & Change Management
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs and user-friendly documentation to facilitate smooth adoption among clinical and administrative staff.
- Serve as a change agent, promoting best practices and addressing barriers to adoption through hands-on support and communication.
- Provide on-site and remote go-live support during application launches and upgrades.
- Support Enablement
- Equip IT support staff with in-depth technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and training to ensure ongoing, effective support of deployed solutions.
- Act as an escalation point for complex application issues, collaborating with support leads and Level 1 technicians to resolve problems efficiently.
- Maintain and update a knowledge base to support continuous learning and process improvement.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Serve as a liaison between IT, clinical teams, and vendors to ensure solutions meet organizational goals and user needs.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new healthcare applications and technologies.
- Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to digital transformation projects within the organization.
- Continuous Improvement
- Monitor application performance, gather user feedback, and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in healthcare and senior living IT.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education, Experience and Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Nursing, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems – CPHIMS) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical application deployment, or a related role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- Proven record of accomplishment of designing and implementing clinical application solutions and driving user adoption.
- Experience supporting and training IT support teams and clinical users.

Compensation: An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. Shift and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
