Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Foreperson to lead a vegetation management crew in El Dorado County, CA. The General Foreperson is responsible for overseeing crew operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, maintaining equipment, and delivering high-quality service in accordance with ArborWorks’ and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations of the crew, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality standards are met.
• Maintain accountability for all assigned equipment, vehicles, and tools.
• Ensure all team members are properly trained and qualified to perform their assigned tasks.
• Conduct effective daily safety tailboards and provide on-the-job training as needed.
• Lead incident investigations and complete required documentation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams, auditors, and outside representatives.
• Plan and allocate work effectively to maximize crew productivity and ensure project profitability.
• Utilize electronic devices and systems (e.g., Outlook, mobile apps) to manage communication and workflow.
• Monitor and track crew performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary to meet operational goals.
• Submit accurate and timely reports, including employee timecards and project documentation.
• Coordinate with the Fleet Department to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
• Maintain professionalism and enforce company policies, including progressive discipline when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2.5 years of experience in Line Clearance/Utility Vegetation Management.
• Previous leadership experience in the utility industry.
• Proficiency in English (bilingual preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Competency with electronic communication and reporting tools.
• Valid Driver’s License (Commercial Driver’s License preferred).
• Line Clearance Qualified.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).

Preferred Certifications:

• ISA Certified Arborist.
• Certified TreeCare Safety Professional (CTSP).

Additional Requirements:

• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of drug screening and background checks.
• Must be able to meet all company-mandated deadlines and reporting requirements.
