CTG is seeking to fill a Telecom Test Architect position for our client in Houston, TX.
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive testing strategies for telecommunications systems, including sales, ordering, provisioning, and billing domains.
Analyze requirements and specifications to define holistic test architecture and identify areas best suited for automation.
Develop test solutions aligned with business needs and technical feasibility.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, stakeholders, multiple vendor teams) to understand project scope and objectives.
Craft comprehensive test strategies and plans, outlining testing levels, methodologies, tools, resources, and timelines.
Define entry and exit criteria for each testing stage, ensuring smooth progression and quality control.
Advocate for and implement test automation strategies to improve efficiency and coverage.
Develop or select appropriate testing tools and frameworks for automation (e.g., Selenium, Python libraries).
Establish and manage a standardized defect management process and provide detailed testing reports to stakeholders.
Continuously monitor and optimize testing processes for effectiveness and performance.
Skills:
Strong expertise in telecom domain software testing.
Test architecture design and implementation.
Test strategy and planning, including cross-functional collaboration.
Test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Python libraries).
Defect management, reporting, and metrics.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Test Architect in the telecommunications industry.
Experience leading large-scale testing initiatives for sales, ordering, provisioning, or billing systems.
Hands-on experience with test automation, test management tools, and quality assurance processes.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
