Job Description

The Position

The Project Manager role is responsible for running ESS projects end-to-end. The role is critical in that it represents the ESS and cooperates closely with a wide array of stakeholders within the Organon ESS and other functions. The responsibilities of this role include standard project management activities such as project scope definition, effort assessment, requirements gathering, driving decision-making processes through to execution and delivery. The role is expected to be a key enabler of Enterprise Shared Services priorities. Such priorities can include the development and support of continuous Improvement initiatives, the alignment of approaches with other organizations in Organon, and the local execution of globally led projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day project execution from the start to the end of the project
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Identify stakeholders and maintain effective communication
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and resources
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Manage the project team and foster collaboration
  • Track project progress and provide regular status reports
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and compliance requirements
  • Manage scope changes and conduct post-project evaluations
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations.
  • Manages internal commitments and leadership expectations in terms of project status, upcoming milestones, scope, budget, quality, and delivery of benefits.
  • Support other ESS priorities and initiatives as appropriate

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree (BA, BS, Engineering, Finance).
  • Fluency in English
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience in project management preferably in a Shared Services environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel functionalities (pivot tables, basic formulas, graphs), MS Teams, MS Project, Smartsheet or similar tools.
  • Good understanding and practical knowledge of end-to-end processes.
  • PMP or PRINCE II certification and LSS Belt certification advantageous

Required Abilities:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively manage and engage stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills – ability to manage several projects at the same time, multi-task and work under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work under pressure
  • Results-oriented with a clear sense of urgency.
  • Strong process orientation, knowledge of process design tools.
  • Team player who can work independently as well as being part of a team
