Job purpose
The Operational Excellence Intern will aid in the implementation the HAPS (Haleon Performance System) principles/tools at the site to deliver the Business Strategy, improve Business Performance (Safety, Quality, Service, & Cost), by using a data- driven approach. Next to the Operational Excellence Specialist and manage by the Operational Excellence Manager, the Operational Excellence Intern is in charge of several mini transformations on the shopfloor. Acting as an example with teams, he shares good practices and adopts a performance Run On Target thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect data, implementing sustainable measuring processes, and reporting trends of the main key performance indicators (including OEE % and Yield %) to assess opportunities, and track success of execution.
- Facilitating cross-functional improvement projects and Lean Focused Improvement tools (Kaizen, SMED, 5S, AM, Centerlining, etc.).
- Building capabilities of hourly workforce via LSW, SOPs, and Lean tools training; coaching and mentoring teams and individuals on best practices for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Support site implementation efforts of Digital 4.0 tools within the Haleon Performance System (HAPS).
- Daily GEMBA walks to identify safety, quality, efficiency, and waste opportunities.
Knowledge / Education required:
- Knowledge of Lean-6 sigma tools and techniques
- Experience into a continuous improvement project
- Experience in a operational excellence program is a plus
- Fluent in French (and working knowledge of English)
- Capability to communicate at on the shopfloor with operators etc.
- Taking in autonomy mini projects and/or actions
- Ability to give a message outside direct management
- Link data science with practical examples into production
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly effective under pressure
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- "Do it, Try it, Fix it” mentality
- Capable to give his ideas
