Job Description: As a member of Mental Health and Addiction Services, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team providing intensive case management to individuals with chronic and persistent mental illness. These services are provided within an individual and group context. Responsibilities include intensive case management, medication management, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, consultation to community agencies, group/community education, student mentoring, documentation, client/family and public education, advocacy, and mental health promotion.

Experience
- 3 years nursing experience 1 of which needs to be working in a mental health setting
Education
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
- Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE)
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Professional Assault Response Training (PART)
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
