Coloplast Brazil plays a critical role for the continued success of Emerging Markets (EM) and the Growth organization, and we are looking for an exceptionally strong candidate that matches the complexity and opportunities inherent in the role and can help identify and leverage future growth drivers.

The role is based in São Paulo - Brazil; English and Portuguese are mandatory.

Coloplast Brazil plays a critical role for the continued success of Emerging Markets (EM) and the Growth organization, and we are looking for an exceptionally strong candidate that matches the complexity and opportunities inherent in the role and can help identify and leverage future growth drivers.

 

The role is based in São Paulo - Brazil - being responsible for all major business decisions, managing the overall operations and resources of the company, developing and executing on strategy and business plans to deliver on targets, acting as the main point of communication between Coloplast, EM, LATAM and the local organization, as well as leading and developing both the local management team and organization. The local teams are characterized by very strong engagement levels, which the new CM is expected to nurture and develop further together with the company culture as such.

 

The CM of Brazil will report to the VP of LATAM region and lead 5 experienced management team members in Coloplast Brazil. The CM will represent – and take responsibility developing - both Coloplast Brazil and EM overall by engaging, constructively challenging and supporting rest of EMLT. The continued development of the local management team as individuals and as a high performing team are important priorities also.

 

Overview – the ideal candidate

Has an exceptionally strong business acumen and always takes a customer centric approach, being an expert of Coloplast’ business and the markets dynamics of the region and needs to be strong analytically.

 

Is an experienced leader of leaders with very effective leadership skills role-modelling the Leadership Promise, in particular aiming high while being inclusive and empowering colleagues and team-members to develop our business and execute on plans.

 

Has solid experience managing and executing on business plans and a commercial P&L, as well as a strong track record delivering above-market growth and balancing short versus long term priorities by focusing on key priorities and the big bets that will ensure our long-term success. Coloplast Brazil has a strong commercial footprint, and we expect the new CM to further develop that together with the local management team. The ideal candidate has experience driving and developing both direct sales and strong partnerships with distributors.

 

Speaks English and Portuguese or has the ambition to learn how to do so quickly enabling the CM to engage with the broader organisation, building on existing strengths and looking for opportunities for further growth.

  • Experienced leader of leaders with strong leadership skills and ability to role-model Coloplast’s Leadership Promise – setting direction and high ambitions yet involving and ensuring shared accountability developing strong business plan and executing on them
  • Exceptionally strong business acumen, analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of the Coloplast business, entrepreneurial and strong strategic thinking yet execution focused
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills effectively engaging with users and customers, KOL’s, government stakeholders, team-members and colleagues across the Coloplast organisation
  • Unimpeachable ethical standards and a strong commitment to the Coloplast BEST program

 

Ideal background

  • +7 years of leadership experience including leading leaders, P&L responsibility, sales and marketing, engaging with external stakeholders
  • +5 years of sales development experience with Medtech/Life Sciences sector, across OC, CC and WC
  • Strong understanding of market access strategies and public healthcare market
  • Commercially astute – strategic acumen coupled with hands on operational experience and strong performance management tool-box
  • Track record delivering above-market growth and experience from working and leading sales development within the region
  • Track record developing strong teams and talented individuals
