The Role
We’re looking for engineers at all levels (mid, senior, fullstack, backend) who are strong in Elixir or have worked with other complex functional languages and want to grow deeply in this ecosystem.
You'll work end-to-end on features within a cross-functional squad — shaping scope with product, making architectural decisions with your peers, and delivering clean, tested, maintainable code.
You don’t need to be fullstack already — but you should be comfortable learning across the stack and owning outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Build backend and/or fullstack features in Elixir, Phoenix, and LiveView
- Design scalable services, APIs, and schemas that power the Yojee platform
- Collaborate with product and design on solution shaping and trade-offs
- Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to team standards
- Debug complex issues, optimise performance, and continuously improve reliability
- Write high-quality, well-tested code and contribute clean PRs
- Work in a squad model with shared ownership and autonomy
What You Bring
- Great to have experience with Elixir & Phoenix & LiveView
- Experience working with RDBMS (preferably PostgreSQL)
- Strong engineering fundamentals — system design, troubleshooting, data modelling, testing
- Experience building web applications or distributed systems
- Curiosity, humility, pragmatism, and a desire to build impactful product
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small, high-performing engineering team
- Experience in logistics or supply chain systems (nice to have, but not required)
