About the opportunity
The Business Support Officer will provide administrative support to the accommodation team predominantly to ensure a seamless and positive student experience
Your key responsibilities will be to:
provide general administrative services and operational support to the Student Accommodation team
assist with ensuring compliance with University of Sydney WHS Management System, including WHS Policies and Procedures
provide administrative support to the risk identification, tracking and mitigation management process of the accommodation team
support day to day administrative tasks by using key accommodation systems, with beneficial experience in StarRez and Freshdesk to assist with enquiries, bookings, and general operational workflows.
establish and maintain effective relationships within UI, the wider University and with external stakeholders, to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
support the wider P&D team and its work streams where capacity allows.
About you
ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgment in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work
good understanding of financial management with good numeracy and ability to collate financial information
working knowledge of accommodation systems
understanding of health & safety, risk, and compliance in a workplace setting
administration experience in a large organization including processing of invoices / raising orders
some experience in stakeholder management.
