In this role you will:
- Conduct history and physical exams and renders well care.
- Conduct appropriate sick care and renders diagnosis and treatment as indicated.
- Refers seriously ill patients to the physician or hospital as deemed necessary.
- Perform emergency treatment in case of serious illness or injury.
- Provide appropriate health teaching to patients and their families
- Participate with other members of the community to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate school services and community services which include the broad continuum of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention.

The successful applicant will offer:
- Must have a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the expanded role in Massachusetts.
- Possess a minimum of a bachelor’s in nursing from an accredited program; (A master’s degree in nursing is preferred); possess and maintain certification.
- Have a minimum of three years’ experience in school nursing or a related field.
- Maintain certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and first aid from a recognized provider, i.e., American Heart Association.
- Have an identified physician who provides consultation.
- Complete ongoing continuing education programs pertinent to the evolving specialty area of school health and school nursing practice, as well as meet continuing education requirements for licensure in the expanded role in Massachusetts.
Starting salary commensurate with experience.
