Elementary Security Monitor (Union) Full-time presso Farmington Public Schools

The Farmington Public School District is looking for a Security Monitor for Union Elementary School.
The position is 8 hours per day, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (1 hour unpaid lunch) school year ; medical benefits, paid time off, and life insurance.
Rate:  $21.42 - $25.86 per hour dependent upon experience

 
QUALIFICATIONS: 

1. Candidate should hold a high school diploma or college level degree.  A law enforcement background is preferred.
2. Candidate should demonstrate the ability to communicate with students while maintaining order with large student groups
3. Candidate should demonstrate the ability to monitor visitors and follow visitor sign in procedures.
4. Consideration will be given to the following
   1. References that indicate the candidate possesses the skills required for this position.
   2. Ability to control order with groups of students
   3. Ability to control order with visitors to the school building and follow all visitor sign in policies and procedures
   4. Ability to follow all safety and security policies and procedures
   5. Ability to present a respectful demeanor to school community members and visitors
   6. Ability to make sound judgment

1. Follow all visitor policies and procedures.
2. Maintain student order in assigned areas.
3. Prepare reports, as required.
4. Monitor buildings and grounds to ensure a safe and security school environment.
5. Demonstrate ability to communicate with visitors, students and all members of the school community.
6. Demonstrate respect for students, visitors and all members of the school community.
7. Other related duties, as assigned.
