The CNA on our 46-bed Medical-Surgical unit provides direct patient care and supports nursing staff in delivering safe, compassionate care. Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, obtaining vital signs, monitoring intake/output, maintaining patient hygiene and comfort, and reporting changes in condition to the nursing team. The CNA helps ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment while promoting patient dignity and recovery.

- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Experience:
- One year preferred.
- Assisted Living facilities only: experience working in long-term care or assisted living, required.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Completion of NAI program, required.
- Listed with the nurse aide registry as an NA I, required.
- Medication Safety - AME, required.
- NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
- Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation.
Provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living and maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
Assisted Living units only: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living as scheduled and reporting any change in status to the Charge Nurse.
